Juan Moreno and Saul Hernandez, P.E., launched MH Civil on February 26, 2010, with $10,000 in savings, a broken-down skid steer, and a fistful of dreams. Starting from zero, the two founders set out to build a company rooted in hustle, grit, and engineering know-how, laying the foundation for what would become a fast-growing civil contractor across Texas.
Only three years into operations, MH Civil gained national attention by debuting on the ENR Texas & Louisiana Top Specialty Contractor list at #98, signaling their arrival as a major player in the regional market.
Building on their momentum, they climbed to #79 in the ENR rankings. During this era, they expanded their footprint beyond the Panhandle, establishing a presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and surrounding states.
Despite global economic shifts, MH Civil achieved a 38% year-over-year revenue growth. By late 2021, they reached a major milestone: completing over $100 million in total work since their inception.
The construction community officially recognized their dedication to innovation when they were named the 2022 Specialty Contractor of the Year by ENR. This year also saw the launch of their largest contract to date: a $22.5 million sewer interceptor network.
With a strong project backlog and a growing team of dedicated professionals, they continue to Build the Future by self-performing complex earthwork, utilities, and concrete structures for municipalities across the South Central United States.
